Grand View P.S. Running Program Update

Posted on: November 21, 2012 in Uncategorized

Here is an update from one of our elementary school teacher volunteers located in Cambridge ON.

Greetings from the New Grand View P.S. in Cambridge. Our Fall Kilometre Club was a big success. All grade levels were well represented throughout our meeting times in September and October. In total, we covered a distance of 200 kilometres.

We shared a bus with New Dundee P.S. (thanks Mr. Hallman) for our journey to the Run for Life Fall Celebration at Shades Mill. Everyone had a great time, including the grade one girl who wasn’t sure why she was there, or how she qualified to attend. Special thanks to the parent volunteers who assisted with supervision and motivation.

Both of our grade 5/6 classes are now involved in the runSmart / University of Waterloo Research Project. Way to go, HAWKS!
